Episode 80: Who You Gonna Call?

Hello and welcome to This Week in Ladies!

Here's what we've got on tap for you this week:

  • This Week in Comics
Horizon #1, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey: Rebirth, InSexts #6, Giant Days #16, Hellcat #8, Black Widow #5, A-Force #7, Silk #10, Ant-Man #10, Comic-Con | Lots of meaty stuff in comics this week, including Giant Days' break-up feels; A-Force's A+ jokes; and characters turning to the Light Side in Silk and Ant-Man. Plus, a new Birds of Prey gives us an excuse to share this clip from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Enjoy. Some good (and long overdue) news outta Comic-Con: Roxane Gay is the first black woman to write for Marvel and Kate Beaton is the first woman to win the Eisner for Best Humor Publication without a male co-creator. And finally, here are our must-see Comic-Con trailers: Justice League, Marvel's Luke Cage, and Wonder Woman.
  • We Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts
In our main segment this week, we talk about...well, what everyone's talking about: Paul Feig's Ghostbusters. We sort the Ghostbusters into Hogwarts houses; re-evaluate our Chris rankings; debate the merits of various acting choices; and laugh at the absurdity of New York real estate. Oh, and here's an interview with Rick Moranis, the only living member from the original Ghostbusters' main cast not to make a cameo in the film.
