Hello and welcome to This Week in Ladies!
Here's what we've got on tap for you this week:
- This Week in Comics
Paper Girls #3, All-New, All-Different Avengers #2, Mystery Girl #1, InSEXts #1, and Scarlet Witch #1 | This weeks comics include [alien?] time travelers, Ronald Reagan, woolly mammoths, Victorian-era lesbians, serial killers, and ghosts. You'll have to listen to find out which is which. Comics are weird, man.
- "I Hate Sand"
We made the sacrifice of watching the Star Wars prequel films so you don't have to. We discuss those and the original movies in preparation for our next episode, which will be all about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, just like the rest of the internet. In our discussion, we cover everything from racial stereotypes to fan theories, from what The Force Awakens has in common with something else we're a little obsessed with right now (we'd just come out and tell you, but it's much, much better when "JJ, Baby" Abrams does it) to... more fan theories. Fans, y'all. We're great. And, apparently, the Prime Minister of Canada is one of us.
- This Week in Ladies Recommends
A: The Amazing Age of John Roy Lynch by Chris Barton and Don Tate (fellow Austinites)
B: Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (don't let the title fool you!)
Thanks for listening!
